The Half-Dwarf Kale is an old variety of very hardy curly kale, known for its curled leaves, exceptional nutritional richness, and cold resistance. Easy to grow, it adapts well to vegetable gardens as well as terrace containers. Very productive, this leaf cabbage is harvested as needed throughout autumn and winter.

It is distinguished by its compact growth, generally not exceeding 50 cm in height.

Uses:
Kale is valued in cooking for its crunchy and slightly bitter leaves. It is eaten raw in salads, sautéed, in soups, or as kale chips. It is a staple of health and vegetarian diets.

Growing tips:
Sow seeds from March to June, directly in open ground or in pots to transplant (space 40 cm in all directions).
Exposure: full sun or partial shade – rich, fresh, well-drained soil.
Regular watering without excess. Harvest can begin as early as 2 months after sowing, leaf by leaf, and extend from October until the first frosts or beyond depending on the region.
It is a biennial plant, which produces the first year then bolts to seed the second.
No stratification is necessary for germination.
