The Interprofessional Organization for Seeds and Plants, SEMAE, established in 1941 and amended in 1962, is the interprofessional organization for the seed and plant sector in France, recognized in June 2014 by decree of the Ministry of Agriculture. A space for dialogue, exchange, and decision-making, encompassing all types of seeds for all their uses.

A quality and official control management, known as “SOC-France,” to which the State entrusts, through a performance and objectives contract, the official control and certification missions for the quality of seeds and plants as well as sanitary controls and the issuance of phytosanitary passports for seeds and plants.
