You can sow the seeds (also called glomerules, composed of 3 to 6 seeds each) from March to June to stagger the harvest and make the most of this delicious legume. It is also possible to soak the seeds in water for an hour before sowing to encourage germination. Thin the plants to avoid competition and allow each beet to develop fully. Beetroot is the only root vegetable that can be transplanted without difficulty.
