250 Wild Blueberry Seeds (Bilberry Blue)
Description
Wild blueberries, also known as bilberries, huckleberries, or blueberries, are delicious fruits rich in anthocyanins and appreciated for their unique aroma. Here is everything you need to know about growing these delicious berries:
Description:
- Wild blueberries have a distinctive blue skin and offer an exquisite flavor. They are highly prized but require specific conditions to thrive in your garden.
- These berries are rich in anthocyanins, antioxidants beneficial for health.
Growing Conditions:
- Wild blueberries prefer acidic soil, with a pH between 4.5 and 5.5. Make sure to test your soil's pH before planting.
- European species of blueberries particularly suffer from partial shade.
- To promote their growth, blueberry bushes need coolness at the base. Mulching with dead leaves in autumn can help prevent weed growth, limit evaporation, and nourish the plants.
Planting tips:
- Sow blueberry seeds in spring in soil that has been previously prepared and tested for acidity.
- Make sure to provide a slightly shaded environment for the plants.
- Blueberry seeds generally require cold stratification to optimize germination.
