Also called Gomphrena , Glory of Brazil , or Love-in-a-mist , the Globe Amaranth is a very floriferous annual plant resistant to drought. Native to the tropical regions of America, it is appreciated for its globular flowers, in bright shades (pink, purple, white), which retain their color even after drying.

Growing tips:

• Sowing: from March to May, under cover or outdoors after the last frosts.

• Seed depth: about 0.5 cm.

• Germination temperature: 20 to 24 °C.

• Germination time: 7 to 14 days.

• Exposure: full sun.

• Soil: light, well-drained, not too rich.

• Flowering: from July until the first frosts.

Features:

• Perennial or annual: annual under our climates (perennial in tropical zones).

• Stratification: not necessary .

• Height: about 30 to 60 cm.

• Port: bushy.

Uses:
