The Imperial Cornflower, also known as Musk Cornflower or Centaurea moschata imperialis, is an ornamental annual plant with vintage charm, prized for its large, highly fragrant flowers, ranging in color from pure white to deep pink and violet. Native to Asia, this wildflower once grown in clergy gardens attracts pollinating insects while beautifying flower beds, borders, or bouquets.
Growing tips:
Sowing: from March to May outdoors, or from February in pots under cover.
Flowering: from June to September.
Exposure: sunny.
Soil: Prefer a light, well-drained soil.
Care: Moderate watering; tolerates relatively dry conditions once well established. Remove faded flowers to encourage blooming.
No stratification required. Germination is generally quick (7 to 15 days at 15-20°C).

I grew these for the first time last year and they are fantastic. Good for general use and equally good for cooked dishes. Wonderful dark red flesh which is very tasty.
