Brown Button Mushroom Mycelium - Mushroom Growing Kit

This sterilized tube contains Brown Button Mushroom mycelium, ideal for hobbyists wanting to easily grow these popular mushrooms.

Growing Instructions:

Preparation of the Sweet Water Mixture:

Use bottled mineral water to reduce the presence of chlorine. For each liter of water, remove about 10% of the volume and replace it with syrup (glucose-based apple or lemon syrup, without preservatives).

Adding Mycelium:

For a 1.5 liter bottle of water, add 15 ml of mycelium. For a 5 liter bottle, add 50 ml of mycelium. Mix well to ensure even dispersion of the mycelium in the sugary liquid.

Development of Mycelium:

Place the mixture away from light in a room maintained at a minimum temperature of 20°C for 4 to 5 days, thus allowing the mycelium to develop.

Inoculation of the Substrate:

Fill your substrate (horse manure, coffee grounds, straw, wood chips, compost, etc.) with the mycelium mixture. Place the inoculated substrate in a room with an ideal temperature between 14°C and 20°C, away from light.

Maintaining Humidity:

Make sure the substrate remains constantly moist to encourage mushroom growth.

Fruiting:

The first mushrooms will begin to appear approximately 3-4 weeks after the start of cultivation. Harvest the mushrooms as they develop, about ten days after they appear. You can obtain up to 4 successive flights of mushrooms if the growing conditions are optimal. The harvest can last several weeks.
