Details
This kit contains a tube of liquid mycelium of Bordeaux Boletes (Boletus edulis), produced under optimal sterile conditions. The mycelium is ready to be diluted in a sugar water solution before being inoculated onto suitable soil.
Bordeaux Boletes live in mycorrhizal symbiosis with host trees such as:
- Oaks
- Beeches
- Chestnut trees
- Pines and firs
Their biotopes include forest edges or wooded areas with a litter rich in organic matter.
Product advantages:
- Suitable for both amateurs and experts.
- Compatible with natural environments or wooded gardens.
- Produces boletes prized for their exceptional taste and unique texture.
- Allows repeated fruiting under ideal conditions.
- Contribute to a natural ecosystem in symbiosis with the trees.
Cultivation instructions
-
Preparation of the sugar water mixture :
- Use bottled mineral water to minimize chlorine presence.
- Add an apple- or lemon-based syrup without preservatives (10% of the water volume).
- Shake the mycelium tube well, then mix it at a rate of 10 ml per liter of sugar water.
-
Mycelium development :
- Keep the mixture away from light, at a stable temperature of at least 20°C.
- After 4 to 5 days, the liquid becomes cloudy, a sign of mycelium filament development.
-
Soil inoculation :
- Dig holes or trenches about 20 cm deep around the target trees, about 1 meter from the trunk.
- Fill these holes with a mixture of forest compost (decomposed leaves, wood, straw) or enriched soil.
- Spread the liquid mycelium over this substrate, then add a thin layer of dead leaves to retain moisture.
-
Environmental conditions :
- Moisture : Maintain constant humidity by lightly watering during dry periods.
- Temperature : Favor a moderate climate between 10°C and 25°C.
- Exposure : Place the inoculated areas in shade or partial shade with indirect light access.
Seasonality and harvest
- Inoculation : Spring or early autumn, when conditions are mild and humid.
- Expected fruiting : The first boletes can appear after 2 to 3 years, usually after heavy rains, from spring to autumn. Once established, the cultivation can last several years.
Transform your garden or a forest into a true mushroom sanctuary. Grow your own Bordeaux Boletus and enjoy the pleasure of a home harvest.
