100 Wild Strawberry Seeds
Description
Wild strawberries often evoke nostalgic memories of woodland walks and their deliciously fragrant flavors. Discover how to grow these little wonders in your own garden:
Description:
- Wild strawberries adapt well to a partly shaded corner of your garden. They prefer cool climates with distinct winters and can withstand temperatures as low as -15 to -20 °C. However, they are sensitive to late frosts as they restart growth early in spring.
- For optimal growth, plant wild strawberries in humus-rich, slightly acidic or neutral, well-drained soil. Clayey but sloping banks (which do not retain water) are also suitable. Avoid calcareous or overly wet soils.
- These strawberries can be planted as borders or ground cover in your garden, or in containers on a terrace, balcony, or even a windowsill.
Growing Tips:
- Sow wild strawberry seeds in the spring.
- Make sure to keep the soil moist but well-drained.
- Wild strawberries can be harvested when the fruits are ripe and ready to be eaten.
- Wild strawberry seeds generally require cold stratification to optimize germination.
Commitment to Quality: At SemiSauvage - Permaculture, we are committed to providing the highest quality seeds. Our seeds are reproducible, non-hybrid, and acclimated. They are carefully selected, sorted, stored, and packaged without any chemical treatment, for the greatest pleasure of gardeners.
