What this plant evokes

Planted in cemeteries for centuries, the yew is associated with eternity, death, and resurrection. Among the Celts, its ability to regenerate from its own hollow trunk made it the tree of immortality.

Meanings vary across cultures, colours and periods. The texts below come from our product descriptions.

Bien cordialement,
David Gary

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

Just to clarify, “English yew” corresponds to Taxus baccata, also known as common yew. This is exactly the species we supply.

However, if you believe you may have received a different item, we sincerely apologize — while we take great care in preparing orders, a mistake can occasionally happen.

Could you please send us a photo of the seeds you received? This will allow us to quickly verify and resolve the situation.

Of course, if there has been any error, we will immediately offer a replacement or a refund.

Thank you for your understanding, and we remain at your disposal.

Kind regards,
David Gary
